SELECT TEAM
AF National is once again looking to compete with the top teams in the country this summer as they have several national tournaments scheduled including Boulder IDT and AFCS 4 in Indiana. Addison started off this year with “Pitcher of the Tournament” recognition at the TFL North Texas Fall Showdown.
During the 22-23 season, AF National was ranked in the Extra Elite Eighty (Extra Inning Softball) and won against four higher ranked teams (#3, 40, 56, & 61) with Addison pitching in two of these wins. They played several national tournaments against some of the strongest competition across the country that included Boulder IDT where Addison was once again selected for the C/O 2025 All-Star Game and AFCS 3 in Chino Hills, California, where they were seeded as the 24th team.
Addison joined AF National, the flagship team of the American Freedom Softball organization following an exceptional season in 14U. In the first tournament with her new teammates, Addison threw a complete game shut-out against another nationally-ranked team at the ‘22 AFCS (Kokomo/Westfield, Indiana). She was also selected to participate in the 2022 Boulder IDT All-Star Game.
SCHOOL TEAM
Addison earned her fourth State Championship ring this year after Calvary Baptist Academy went undefeated through district play and LHSAA Division III playoffs. They finished the season with a 35-2 record and were ranked #2 in the country by the USA TODAY Sports/NFCA High School Super 25 and #10 by MaxPreps. Addison’s contributions included finishing with a pitching record of 10-0 that included four shutouts, four shared shutouts, and even a shared perfect game. Her pitching stats included a 2.38 ERA through 56 innings pitched with 81 strikeouts and 16 walks. She was named First Team All-District and Second Team All-City for her performance. She was also awarded SBLive’s Louisiana High School Athlete of the Week.
On the road to Calvary’s third State Championship in three years, an injury caused Addison to miss the majority of her Sophomore season. Following rest and physical therapy, she began easing back into the JV and Varsity pitching rotation where she finished with a 0.00 ERA over 8.2 innings with 17 strikeouts and only one hit. Calvary won their District Title undefeated, and run-ruled every opponent through playoffs and the LHSAA Division III Championship.
During her Freshman year, Calvary brought home the LHSAA Division IV State Championship after winning their District Title undefeated again. Her time on the rubber increased and she was once again named All-District 2nd Team Pitcher. She ended the varsity season with a 5-3 record averaging 4.9 batters/inning over 40.1 innings with 42 strikeouts. This included games against three Top 25 nationally-ranked teams (USA Today/NFCA). She also pitched a perfect game, a one-hitter, and two shared shutouts.
As an 8th Grader at Calvary, Addison was named All-District 2nd Team Pitcher helping the Lady Cavs win their District Title undefeated and bring home her first LHSAA Division IV State Championship. She finished the varsity season with a 1.50 ERA.
